When I began my Boer Goat journey many years ago I always knew it would be for a finite time period. Our daughter just started high school and I know these next four years will slip through our fingers. I want to be there every step of the way, so it is now that I am choosing to close this wonderful chapter and move forward.
I am truly blessed to have had this rare opportunity to continue breeding the bloodlines that my parents cherished. My parents have been behind me all the way, teaching me everything they know, giving me a gentle push each time I met a challenge. I have cherished all of the countless hours spent with them the last few years. They were always willing to push a broom, bottle babies, haul goats, even babysit does in labor while I was changing hats and doing the parental duties. Now that my parents begin to settle into their older life with a few health issues it is now time for me to give back to them. Thank you Mom and W.E. for showing me the way with goats, being my cheering section when I need a boost, and ultimately giving me the courage to take chances!!!!
My Mom told me many years ago, " It's not about the destination but all about the journey." It took me a while to understand that but it is true.
Although my journey is complete here, it has been very rewarding and I will cherish all of the great goat memories created here at CGL Farms.
I want to thank everyone in the industry for your continued support of the T4/ CGL genetics. I appreciate each and every one of my customers and Facebook friends. I wish all of you the best in your future endeavors.
Please join us at the Wild and Wonderful Boer Goat Sale, June 7, 2014, as we say farewell to the industry. Our final kid crop will begin arriving mid October. A bit sad for us, but we look forward to seeing the results of our final breedings.
See you all in June!
